Americanism Elementary School Poster Contest

Student from Forest Hill Elementary School wins the MDSSAR's Elementary School Poster Contest.

Student from Forest Hill Elementary School wins the State of Maryland Sons of the American Revolution’s Elementary School Poster Contest.

Each year the Sons of the American Revolution (SAR) conduct a National Americanism Poster contest directed at students in the 4th and 5th grades.  Every year the National SAR committee selects a new theme to be used for the poster contest, and the theme of this year’s Americanism Poster contest was "Molly Picher".  Maryland 4th and 5th graders from all over the state are encouraged to participate in the program.  Entrants in the program submit a poster that promotes the selected theme and submit it to their local Maryland SAR chapter.  The Chapter then selects a winning poster and that poster is sent to compete at the State level.  Maryland SAR members then select a Winner for the State.  The winning poster at the state level is then forwarded on for competition at the National level.
