Sergeant Lawrence Everhart Chapter will present and dedicate a Historic Marker to MD State Park Service. Catoctin Furnace was a kiln that processed ore from Catoctin Mountain and produced ordinance for military artillery during the Revolutionary War.

The Historic Marker is to recognize the contribution and importance of Catoctin Furnace in Frederick County Maryland in our Nation's Fight for Independence.
