Every year the young members of the Maryland CAR choose a program to honor their Patriotic forebears. This year they have chosen the Perry Point Veterans Administration Hospital to meet iwth those who are patients there to have a fun time with games and shows. These veterans rarely receive visitors and it is a great opportunity to meet heroes of our time. If you can attend, it would be most appreciated. You will feel a great reward for doing so.
The State Workday is to be held at the Perry Point Veteran's Administration Hospital in Perry Point, Cecil Co, MD on Saturday, September 27, 2008 Noon to 3:30 pm. Upon our arrival, we will assist wheeling patients to the gymnasium and spend the afternoon taking part in their Games Showdown. Participants will be able to play checkers, chess, board games, cards and even Wii with the patients during our visit. It is our goal to present them with a Variety/Talent Show, so get out your dancing shoes, v entriloquist dolls, instruments and exercise those vocal chords and as a finale to our visit we will have a celebration for them, reminding them that we appreciate their service to our country.
